Reading Updates - My TBR for June 2018

New Month have just started and I can not believe how fast time actually flew!Anyways new month means I have to set a TBR for the month and try to follow it in coming days.

So Firstly I am going to mention two books I currently have started,I am planning to see how much I am eager to get into the whole series, that I will see as I read!

Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard Series by Rick Riordan

I am a huge fan of Rick Riordan books. In fact just one month back I completed Heroes of Olympus after left it hanging in the middle many years back. And I am completely proud of the fact that I completed it now and thoroughly enjoyed it.So Need I say more....My next step of course was going to get into another of his well loved series.

This is a trilogy which follows our main character, Magnus, who is a homeless kid and some series of events that follow further, leads him to his death and what do you know!....He is still alive, well not actually!

For that you and I need to read the series to see what happens and how his life changes after that.Just like Rick's previous series, this also is based on mythology but its Norse Mythology this time.I am really excited to get into this one and have high hopes.I have picked up the first one 'The Sword of the Summer' and really enjoying it so far.

The Riftwar Saga Series by Raymond E. Fiest

This is quite an old fantasy, first series in Riftwar cycle.Part of me was really hesitant to delve into this one because it actually have a long list of number of series with more than 30 books in total. So going into this world of Midkemia is a whole COMMITMENT!!

Still I can get into this if this really engage me so let's see how it goes.I have started with first book in this first series. Its called Magician Apprentice.

Book Summary -

To the forest on the shore of the Kingdom of the Isles, the orphan Pug came to study with the master magician Kulgan. His courage won him a place at court and the heart of a lovely Princess, but he was ill at ease with normal wizardry. Yet his strange magic may save two worlds from dark beings who opened space time to renew the age-old battle between Order and Chaos

I also do not have any more idea about the story than what I can see from the Synopsis.Just got into few starting chapters into this to get intrigued by it so far. Will update you guys how I feel about it.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I still have other unread series from last TBR, so really need to get into those.Just going to name those quickly

American Gods by Neil Gaiman

Seriously I am procastinating reading this book and no Idea why.I liked it so far but it really is very slow and I have a very hard time putting it before my other unread books on shelves.I did not read a single page in May month, all progress I made was in April only. Will try my best to read couple of pages in between other reads.

A Series of Unfortunate Events by Lemony Snicket

There were third and fourth book in this series for my May month reading list but I was not able to manage it.It's been a long time since I read anything about these Baudelaire children,so it is high time that I get into 'Wide Window' and I am very soon going to pick this one for sure.

So that is it for now! Let's see how much I manage to read from this one and whether I add something else apart from this or not

See you in next post guys! 🙋
