Reading Updates - My June Wrap Up!

June was a very passive active month for me.I was in full reading mood in the starting and straight up finished one trilogy in few days. Then I chose two fantasy books from different series simultaneously and struggles with both of them.So yeah...like this I completed total six books in this month. One whole trilogy plus two books from a series and currently  I am halfway through first book of another trilogy.

- Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard Trilogy

Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard

After completing 'Percy Jackson & the Olympians' and 'Heroes of Olympus' by Rick Riordan, I was in a mood to read another Riordan's book and came across this trilogy.

'Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard' is a middle grade fantasy, Action /Adventure trilogy based on Norse Mythology, told from the perspective of Magnus, a 15 year old homeless kid.
This trilogy is full of action, quests and lots of norse gods and creatures. It is also very informational in terms of getting to know more about norse mythology. So, if you are a fan of Rick Riordan, loves action/adventure and mythology and do not mind reading middle grades ,I would suggest you should definitely pick this one!

My Rating -

Book -1 ★★★★★
Book -2 ★★★★1/2
Book -3 ★★★★

- Magician:Apprentice & Magician: Master (Riftwar Saga #1 & #2) by Raymond E Feist

Magician:Apprentice by Raymond E FeistMagician:Master by Raymond E Feist

First two books in Riftwar Saga, also collectively known as 'Magician' are first two books in 4 book first series , which in turn is among the whole 10 riftwar cycle series.Set in a world of Midkemia and its war with an outworldly empire, kelegan, this is a very action packed and political driven fantasy book.It is certainly action packed with a very heavy dose of politics and character development

You can see my reviews of both books here -

Overall Rating -

Magician:Apprentice - 3.75 Stars
Magician:Master - 5 Stars

3) Mark of the Thief by Jennifer A Nielsen

Mark of the Thief

I am cheating a little bit as I completed this book on 1st July but whatever,I took my time finishing this one, especially most of the June.I really loved the first half but second half was little disappointing for me.I will still be continuing with this trilogy but I need a break right now.

Overall Rating -3.5 Stars!
