Reading Updates - My TBR for July Month!

July has come and its time to set a TBR and share it with you guys!

So.... I have few pending books sitting on my shelf and few I am not going to mention because I am a moody reader and going to pick those books whenever mood strikes. These books are 'American Gods' and 'A series of unfortunate events'.I am not including these previously mentioned unread books.

Apart from these, Here are my TBR list for July Month -

Knife of never letting go

1) Knife of Never Letting Go (Book - 1 of 'Chaos Walking')

This is also my previously mentioned book which I never got into earlier. But I am including this in my TBR again as I have started reading this book and am surely going to complete this month. This book is set in a town called 'Prentisstown' where everyone can hear each other's thoughts AKA 'Noise'.

It follows our main character Todd who on his way find a place of complete silence one day while walking with his dog Manchee.Story then continues how this secret led them to run for their lives.I have just started it and what I have read so far already make it very different from my usual read so let's just see how I am going i like it.

Silverthorn by Raymond E Feist

2) Silverthorn by Raymond E Feist

This is third book in the riftwar saga series, continues after magician part 1 & 2, this will further take to the journey of all old characters and after my fantastic read of first book it has certainly hyped my expectation.

So we will see!

Night Film by Marisha Pessal

3) Night Film by Marisha Pessal

When a cult - horror director's daughter is killed and ruled as suicide, journalist Scott Mcgrath is suspicious and probes all the details and circumstances around the murder. As he goes deeper, all the evidence points out a secret which he never thought was possible, the more he delves the more he risks. Will he solve the mystery surrounding this or will lose everything in the process?

It's been a long time since I have read any Mystery Thriller. In fact this is gonna to be first Mystery thriller in this whole year, but this sounds awesome and I cannot wait to see what surprises lie into this mysterious book.

4) Sword of Darkness by Kinley Macgregor

I only read one paranormal romance this year in January which was a bit of a disappointment for me.So after a long break I decided to pick another book by one of my favourite author ' Sherrilyn Kenyon'.

Sword of Darkness is the first book in 'Lord of Avalon' series written by Sherrilyn kenyon under the pen name 'Kinley Macgregor'.Taking place in the medieval times it depicts the romance between an avalon knight and seamstress.I do not more than that but I really love Sherrilyn Kenyon's romance and would love to see how this is going to take place.

5) Touch by Claire North

Kepler had never meant to die this way — viciously beaten to death by a stinking vagrant in a dark back alley. But when reaching out to the murderer for salvation in those last dying moments, a sudden switch takes place.

Now Kepler is looking out through the eyes of the killer himself, staring down at a broken and ruined body lying in the dirt of the alley.

Instead of dying, Kepler has gained the ability to roam from one body to another, to jump into another person’s skin and see through their eyes, live their life — be it for a few minutes, a few months or a lifetime.

I personally know nothing more about this book but the synopsis sounds interesting and gives us the vibes of Suspense/Supernatural thriller.

6) Inda by Sherwood Smith

Indevan Algara-Vayir was born the second son of a powerful prince, destined to stay at home and defend his family's castle. But when war threatens, Inda is sent to the Royal Academy where he learns the art of war and finds that danger and intrigue don't only come from outside the kingdom.

This is one fine fantasy trilogy I have heard from others and cannot wait to delve into sherwood's world.

7) Murder on the Links by Agatha Christie

A millionaire dies...
'One can see by his face that he was stabbed in the back' said Poirot.
But the strangest feature of the case was where they found the body - in an open grave!Hercule Poirot had answered an appeal for help - but he was too late!

MURDER - bizarre and baffling - had come to the Villa Genevieve

Agatha Christie is a well known name in Mystery/Suspense genre.I have read 'The Murder of Roger Ackroyd' and 'The Mysterious Affairs at Style' by her few years back and really liked them.So after a long break I am once again delving into her books and will see whether these are as enjoyable as them.

8) The Martian by Andy Weir

I have seen the movie and really loved it, so I decided to give this book also a try and see whether I will like it more than the movie.Mark Watney is one brave, intelligent & loveable character I have encountered in movies, so seeing and experiencing all those emotions he went through while he spent such a  long time on Mars alone will be a delight for meI cannot wait to pick this one and compare all the scenes I have seen in movies.

9) Horns by Joe Hill

I know we have a movie on this one but I have not seen the movie and have no idea about it at all, but this is a psychological/horror thriller, written by Stephan King's son Joe Hill (Joseph King). That;s all I need to know. You can see its full summary here

10) Assassin's Apprentice by Robin Hobb

I know I have a very ambitious TBR,but I wanted to have lots of choices and will choose the books as per the mood. And when in reading slum,  pick fantasy!
So this is one well praised fantasy which have gives entrance to a big universe, with lots of series and I would love me some Robin Hobb for sure!

Well let's how much I will be able to read and discuss!So...Bye 🙋
