Book Synopsis -

DENDURON

Bobby Pendragon is a seemingly normal fourteen-year-old boy. He has a family, a home, and even Marley, his beloved dog. But there is something very special about Bobby.

He is going to save the world.

And not just Earth as we know it. Bobby is slowly starting to realize that life in the cosmos isn't quite what he thought it was. And before he can object, he is swept off to an alternate dimension known as Denduron, a territory inhabited by strange beings, ruled by a magical tyrant, and plagued by dangerous revolution.

If Bobby wants to see his family again, he's going to have to accept his role as savior, and accept it wholeheartedly. Because, as he is about to discover, Denduron is only the beginning....

MY THOUGHTS

This was one of those books which I read due to my Goodreads recommendation and based on other readers reviews. I really liked the whole premise and the concept but this is kind of an introduction book and gives us a flavor of what really can be expected further in the series. I really liked the concept of another planet and getting to know the people and history of them.Writing is very easy to read and have short chapters which kept me engrossed in the reading.I especiallly liked the concept of telling us story through journals and it made me more invested in the story.

It had everything I usually like in my fantasy books but the only reason this was not one of my favourites is my lack of connection with all the characters.I really did not care for them at all.
In most of the 70% of the book, Bobby and Loor really irritated me a lot and I did not feel any attachment with them. Especially for a character driven book reader this was hard. But I really liked the characters from earth who were reading all the Journals and could relate to them.

Overall...really good start to a big series and I am curious to pick the next one and see how much these characters will grow on me!
